RSN is launching a new service for its clients. From this summer on, we are able to accommodate fully-integrated rail shunting services on your company’s premises.  We do not only provide shunting locomotives, but also qualified  locomotive drivers. They (temporarily) take over the daily management of your railroad activities, so that you can concentrate on your core business.

On-site shunting services are shunting services for companies that have railcars that need to be repositioned and handled within their facility, but do not want to rely solely on the railroad company by which they are serviced.

Benefits of on-site shunting services by RSN include:

• safer operations: we have a lot of expertise and certificates, and we train our people in accordance with the applicable rules
• decreased operational costs: a shunting locomotive with our shunting driver is cheaper
• increased production & efficiency of your plant: because you can concentrate on your core business and we take care of your rail related needs.

Our first 'new' shunting locomotive ‘Tulu' together with one of our freight train drivers will temporarily be deployed at a factory site in Balen (Belgium). They will be responsible for the daily repositioning and handling of a set of freight wagons totaling 3,000 T. 

Soon, RSN will dispose of 4 additional shunting locomotives. This new service fits perfectly within our expertise and responds to the ever-growing need for on-site shunting services. Moreover, we offer a multitude of services for our customers, including maintenance and repairs to wagons or locomotives. In our wheelset workshop we maintain wheelsets.
