Changing wheelsets for a covered wagon

A German railway operator had arrived in Ghent (Belgium) with a covered wagon that had faulty wheelsets and could therefore not continue its journey. The operator therefore contacted RSN to have the wheelsets changed. This ensured that no valuable time was lost and additional costs were avoided.

Due to the shape and length of the wagon, we could not lift it in the traditional way. Moreover, the wagon was not permitted to be moved in anyway. This was therefore a special case, but, at RSN, we love special cases!

We went to site with our truck with new wheelsets and lifted the wagon there and then using 8 electric screw lifting jacks. All faulty wheelsets were replaced so that the wagon could then be released.
