General information
A locomotive that breaks down during the journey can have serious financial and commercial consequences for the railway operator.
The client :
is not happy as the goods may not get to their destination in time
The operator :
- Has to get the locomotive towed away to a maintenance facility and deploy an additional locomotive in order to get the goods to their destination in time.
- Has to reorganize the work of local and foreign staff (additional cancellation-, relocation- and hotel costs)
- Has to ask for the adjustment of the requested train tracks
- Has to postpone the planned maintenance
- ...
Therefore, Rail Service Net proposes the following mobile methods in order to limit the locomotive’s break-down time to a minimum.
